Stress Getting The Better of You?

How are you doing with your eating habits lately? Are you a stress eater? Or are you someone who barely remembers to eat because you’re too busy ticking off things on your to-do list?

Emotions and lifestyle tremendously influence how we eat. What we eat. When we eat. Yet many of us never really stop to think about that. Speaking as a stress eater, I don’t typically think much before I eat...

In fact, many women look at food very simplistically. It’s either good or bad. It makes you feel good for a bit but then makes you feel guilt or shame about what you’ve eaten. Then comes the penance - the need to run 5 miles, walk 10 miles or some other exercise routine to burn the calories and erase the fat and guilt. Sound familiar?

No food is intrinsically bad or good. It’s all about choice. When. What and why. This type of thought process takes practice but let me tell you, I’ve been trying it and I’ve found it does make a difference when I’m standing in front of the refrigerator or looking for a snack.
